At the recent General Assembly in Florida, Bishop Bruce Rabon, was appointed State Administrative Bishop of South Carolina. Prior to his arrival to the Palmetto State he served as the Administrative Bishop for the Church of God in Kentucky, New Jersey and Alaska.
 
He is the son of William & Alma Rabon. He was born in Latta, South Carolina, and raised in Myrtle Beach. Bishop Rabon married his high school sweetheart, Wanda Hardin Rabon, from Fairmont, North Carolina. They have two grown sons, Eric & Travis. Bishop Rabon is a graduate of Fairmont High School in North Carolina. He attended East Coast Bible College and the Pentecostal Theological Seminary.
 
They served as Senior Pastor of the East Flat Rock Church of God in Hendersonville, North Carolina, for four years and Highest Praise Family Worship Center in Landis, North Carolina, for eighteen years. Under their leadership, the HPFWC grew from twenty-four members to one of the largest churches in the Church of God Movement. Within the local community, he served two terms as president of the South Rowan Bible Association, an inter-denominational ministry. This ministry provided a bible teacher to the public schools where thousands were taught Bible History on a daily basis.
 
Bishop Rabon has served on numerous International & State boards for the Church of God, including the World Missions Board, Ministry to the Military Board, Chairman of the Multi-Cultural Board and the USA Missions Board. On the state level, he served on the Western North Carolina State Council, State Youth Board and as a District Bishop. He has traveled across the USA, Europe, the Caribbean, and Asia speaking at workshops, seminars, and camp meetings on such topics as church growth, marriage and the clergy, and reaching the community for Christ.

The past 38 years Wanda has distinguished herself as a faithful and supportive pastor’s wife and leader who values her relationship with God, her husband, children, family, local church and the community around her. She is a woman of prayer and great faith and believes that with God “all things are possible.”
 
Wanda attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has a B.A. in Sociology. She has a long history with working and developing people groups.
 
Wanda Rabon is currently serving as Women’s Ministries Director for the Church of God in South Carolina. She has over 30 years’ experience working with Women’s Ministries and Children’s Ministry groups and organizes large State Women & Children’s events and programs.
 
Wanda worked as a Children’s Pastor for many years and has organized several children’s ministries and traveled across the US doing children’s workshops and seminars. She was chosen to do the Children’s program for the Billy Graham Crusade (Charlotte NC) and has recorded children’s video with Psalty the Singing Song Book at PTL (Charlotte NC), she was responsible for preparing a budget, organizing youth camps and children’s events in North Carolina, Alaska, and New Jersey.
 
She has recently served on the Board of Directors for the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home in Sevierville TN, where she helped develop the daily operations at the Home. Smoky Mountain Children’s Home is a private, faith based, not-for-profit agency which exists to provide care, love, and healing to children and youth who have no one else to advocate or care for them.
 
With her vision, wisdom and discernment she has helped to produce a culture of leadership in her home, community and in the places of her job assignments. She is involved in community groups and was recently involved in “Women with a Mission” helping to raise $500,000 for providing a school and dorms for the abused and neglected children in Cota, Columbia.
